When you’re donating food, every thoughtful choice helps make life a little easier for our neighbors in need. Here are a few tips to make sure your donations truly make a difference:

✅ DO donate:

  • Pop-top cans of soup, veggies, meats, fruit, or pasta — easier for those without can openers.
  • Shelf-stable milk (like almond, oat, or boxed dairy milk) – great for homes without refrigeration.
  • Complete meal kits like tuna & cracker packs, canned stews, or pasta meals.
  • High-protein items: peanut butter, canned chicken, beans, lentils, and nuts.
  • Easy snacks: granola bars, crackers, trail mix, or fruit cups.
  • Cooking staples: rice, pasta, boxed potatoes, pancake mix, and cereal.
  • Shelf-stable baking items: cake mixes (did you know a can of Sprite can replace oil & eggs for a light, fluffy cake?).
  • Condiments & seasonings: salt, pepper, sugar, ketchup, mustard, etc. Small comforts matter!

🚫 DON’T donate:

  • Expired or opened food (we cannot distribute these).
  • Items that require refrigeration or freezing unless arranged directly.
  • Foods in glass jars (they can break easily in transport).
  • Homemade foods (we can only accept sealed, store-bought items).
  • Perishable produce unless specifically requested.

Every item you give goes directly to someone’s table — and every act of kindness adds up. 💛

Thank you for helping us keep our community fed, one meal and one heart at a time.
